A (Lextron Systems Expert): Absolutely. A 5.1.2 or 7.1.2 setup works great for Atmos — the height channels (two overhead or Atmos-enabled upward-firing speakers) provide the 3D overhead effect. You don't need all 9 channels to enjoy Atmos; even a 5.1.2 configuration delivers a dramatic improvement over flat surround sound.

Q: Is the Wi-Fi dual-band?
